Since you requested this to be posted in the community forum and not discussed in the News subforum, I did the honors.

What I'm trying to point out is.. giving 1 million honor.. that's automatic class honor rank 8 - meaning they won't have to do a single honor quest and just wear +4 Jewelry. That's what I found unfair.

Out of my years of experience and gameplay on GP Cabal, I've always been the player with the highest Honor (Legitimately). Highest I got was Class Honor Rank 7 back on EP2 before everything spiked to Maximum. I actually Worked Desperately Hard to get my honor up, so I would Definitely find awarding 1 million honor unfair, due to such effort obtaining that amount. I'd rather see them run 80 Tower of the Undead B2F (Part 1)'s first, like I did; solo-ing it.

I understand, they may have earned such reward, but jeez striker... 1 million... that's basically maxing out. If everything else awarded is 30 days, then lower the honor reward to match the 30 day rewards. Giving 1 million honor would be the one and only choice every player would choose.

I'm just trying to stress how important awarding 1 million honor is - and yes, it IS a big deal.

This thread is open for any other arguments / debates / discussions. By all means, speak your mind.

Seeing it this way, I kind of agree with Skitters. The honor points is permanent right? It will shoot people from a low honor rank to a good one. But see it this way, if 1 million points gets you an instand honor rank 7, getting to honor rank 8 will be difficult. Way harder. As long as the player of the month is not repeated (I hope), this prize is pretty fair. Like the Fenix and Striker said, we should reward the helpers.

However, I am pretty concern with the player of the month's dedication. What if we have cases whereby the player of the month chooses the 1 million honor points, and stops helping people because he has already got what he/she wants? Won't that be unfair to the geniune helpers? Plus, the 1 million points are permanent. I think one of the ways we can prevent that is to observe them. Maybe we can take half of the points away for their punishment? (or something like that)

I did the math already, it's instant class honor rank 8, that's around 768,000 honor. As for observing, that's the controversary of this event, people will only suck up for prizes then layoff - but there's always risks. As for myself, you all know I'd be one of your most valued players and helpers, so I already know I'm not part of this event. As it is, you see me on the forum and see me in-game, while I'm working - going to school - and keeping a friend through life troubles as of this time. So, if someone wants to spit out they have no time for GP Cabal, I can prove ya wrong.

As I said in my first post, I strongly recommend lowering the amount of honor rewarded, unless it's not permanent.

well, it wasn't mentioned whether the points were permanent or not. So, lets just wait for what fenix and striker have to say. If the points are 30 days also, I don't mind accepting this prize for the player of the month.

See, I don't mind if they're 30 days either, but if they're permanent I strongly disagree. That's the only point I was making of this. Players are welcomed to share ideas or suggestions in this thread as well concerning certain prizes; afterall, we are entitled to provide feedback on events.

Back on topic:
Soulwings, let us know when Striker posts how long the honor lasts, that way things can be confirmed. Don't want tension spreading across the staff because players seem like they're complaining, we're just providing feedback.

Wow guys >< yous are whining bout giving 1m honor away... really

1st: I know people with 1m honor + already.
2nd : its instant lv7 honor not 8. lv8 is 1,280,000 honor.
3rd: You say instant lvl8 people will max out blah blah.. NO they wont people need 2BILLION!!!! honor to max out.. 1million is 1/2000 of the max out so really though?? think about it. YES we can wear +4 jewelry AND? so what. If you think people will max out on this cuz of the event think about it quick

1/2000 of max. 1person can win a YEAR so it'll take a person 2000years to max out off this event. Really though? think about it.

Or instead of 1m honor points make them have 500k. Solution solved, Not instant rank 8 and still pretty far from it.

Also Skitters, just because you might not get member of the month doesnt mean you can screw it up and not let anyone win.

O.0 I think everyone needs to put on a debate cap and take a chill pill. There is a very easy way to solve it and that's to make a poll see what everyone (who actually USE the forums) thinks about the million honor. C'mon I'm sure everyone can be very calm and civilized about this. If all else fails instead of canceling the event resort to removing honor from the list.

Some People don't even play to pvp, I use to play the game just for fun and for the socializing. Besides, not all honor items can be bought from a grocer no? some have to be crafted or you can find some off of monsters.

I understand how people who work for their honor would feel robbed, I myself know the frustration of trying to raise you rank. And even if the "Player of the Month" gets there 1mill reward and then gets the title again, the G.Ms can always deny a repeat of that reward.

I'm not gonna take sides, I don't make my decisions bias. The event is a good Idea to show appreciation towards players. If I were to make a suggestion, you could remove Honor and give coins instead, obviously not 1mil o.0. Aren't glory potions sold in the cash shop? If someone is so desperate for them they can use coins to buy it.

Anyway I'm no GM or staff member I can't tell you what to do or not.I think the "Player of the Month" event is a good Idea, and if you get complaints instead of cancel remove it I'm pretty sure coins would be nice to receive if honor cannot. And everything said here are opinions not orders.

Ok I like the whole removing the honor idea and adding the coins (honor would be nice but this will HOPEFULLY stop the whining) Maybe Fenix/Mac/PiL/STAFF
Just think about the event and modify it before canceling it.. please?
